Inspired by our conversation, this work blends electric hues and subtle fragmentation to represent the energy she brings to the stage and the softness she holds in private.

The composition mimics pop culture aesthetics, incorporating vibrant contrasts and a high-gloss visual rhythm that mirrors her sound. Her gaze, confident and direct, holds the viewer—demanding to be seen not just as a symbol, but as a person.

Yet, parts of her image fade and fracture slightly, hinting at the layers beneath her public persona. As she shared:

“Visibility doesn’t always have to be loud—it can be subtle, gentle too. And both are beautiful.”

    The distinction between a standard print and a fine art print, particularly in my work, lies in the treatment of the digital medium. I approach the digital canvas with the same dedication as a traditional one, employing various brush strokes, tools, and techniques to enhance depth and fully explore the creative possibilities of digital art. As an acrylic artist, I incorporate acrylic elements into my digital creations and often finish them with oils, spray paint, markers, and specialised brushes. This process adds depth, dimension, and layering, bringing each piece to life.

More Than a Label” is a visual exploration of identity and a celebration of queer individuals in their full humanity. Each painting in this collection was inspired by interviews with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, reflecting not just their queerness, but the rich layers of their wholesome selves, in a way that honors their truth.
