Artworks from this collection was inspired by my challenges transitioning from the warmth of Jamaica to winters in the Netherlands. The collection is an expression of the shared experience of expat women from the sun.
Each piece in this collection reflects the often unspoken difficulties of adjusting to a new home, especially for those from sun-drenched places who face the mental toll of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Through digital and acrylic techniques, I weave stories of vulnerability and resilience, offering a voice to the unheard.
