One-of-a-kind unique piece

Solace is a tribute to the women who have carved pathways of strength, compassion, and vision, often for futures they themselves were denied. The central figure represents not one individual, but the collective spirit of women who have chosen to create space, opportunity, and dignity for others. With an expression that is at once resolute and tender, she embodies both the responsibility of leadership and the openness of love. The background, alive with tones of passion and warmth, becomes a sanctuary of care and resilience, inviting those who follow to step into possibility.

Completed in around 14 hours over two days, the painting carries a gentle, soothing presence like a soft visual exhale.

  • This piece was inspired by my reflections during a visit to Rome, where I encountered a story of women who, within a restrictive society, found ways of reclaiming their bodies and their experiences of intimacy. My interpretation leaned into the resilience and solidarity of women who, across time, have looked out for one another, offering not only survival, but also tenderness, love, and belonging. Solace is both homage and invitation: a recognition of the women who bore the weight of opening doors, and a gesture to those yet to come, saying “this space is for you”.
