Tired captures a part of my current state of being, overwhelmed by the weight of exhaustion. It speaks to both the physical toll of constant sleep deprivation and the emotional fatigue that comes with life’s struggles. Matters of the heart, relationships, whether you have them or not. Injustice, war, political distress, societal imbalance, economic strain. The exhaustion of a long, shitty day, yet also the kind that comes from dancing the night away with your girls.

The cool blue glow in the background and the pink flush on my cheeks reflect the energy of nightlife, the ambiance of neon lights. But my expression is stern and heavy, shifting the focus to the burn of exhaustion. The piece plays on the duality of being both positively and negatively tired, drained yet alive, weary yet full.
